Yeah, yeah, yeah, been a while since my last post. What can I say I'm a busy man. Here's a few highlights of what happened in the world the last little bit:
Well lets start with story from the “sad & gross for too many reasons” file. It’s official, the Octomom has signed her first deal to work in Porn. Barf, what isn’t wrong with that statement. I also hear she’s ripping off a James Bond movie for her stage name. Ladies & gentlemen, prepare yourselves for the Octo-Pussy.
Moving on to a just as classy character, Charlie Sheen. His latest, Charlie’s threatened to sue a New York strip club, worried a VIP room named after him could damage his reputation. Really?…really?!! Frankly, I think the strip club should be worried about Charlie’s name damaging theirs!
Costco is now offering home mortgages. Great for the person buying housing in bulk.
The Avengers opened at the Box office and is setting records left, right and centre. But don’t forget the animated movie The Pirates-Band of Misfits is also in theatres. It is rated PG, which is odd, I thought for sure it woulda been rated AAARRRR! :-) ha
In Sports, do you know what a ‘ball hawk’ is? Its someone who goes to Major League Baseball games to catch balls hit into the crowd. A guy named Zach Hample has caught over 5800, and he’s written a book highlighting tricks to do it. See, ya learn something new everyday kids. All this time I thought ‘ball hawk’ was the nickname for Paris Hilton…. Zinnnnggaah!
And we’ll end with a head scratcher. Egypt's government is set to pass a new law making it legal for husbands and wives to have sex with their dead partners for up to six hours after they have died. Creepy. It is called the 'Farewell Intercourse' law, and no, I am not making this up. Oh those crazy Egyptians....Perhaps there is a lot more to the mummification then we need really to know about!

--Oh P.S. I'm sure you've long heard by now. Sad news came down Friday afternoon, Adam Yauch, rapper 'MCA' of The Beastie Boys passed away. He was 47. The Beastie Boys are one of those groups everybody loves or enjoys on some level and Adam’s death truly marks the end of an era. Just one instance of Adam's, and the group's significance, The Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year. Many excellent tributes and condolences have been sent out since his passing. I offer one of my favourite videos of all time, and it's a great song to boot!
