Lots has happened since last time, St. Patrick’s Day came and went*. Of course we also had the annual 'Scottish St. Patrick’s Day' celebration to follow. Left over Green Beer, Cabbage and Corned Beef doesn’t come any cheaper then it does March 18th...party on Angus!
Music news, Metallica & The Black Keys have come out with new tunes**. Also, Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders is working on a new album, featuring collaborations with Neil Young, and, John McEnroe…Wait what?!, John McEnroe, the former Tennis Player?, Yep. Apparently he plays guitar now. OK then.
Some excellent TV news, American Idol continues it’s flush down the toilet! In it’s, what, 400th season? (certainly seems this long!), the show is epically tanking in the ratings. Cross the fingers, this might finally, rightfully, get pulled off of TV. And, seriously barring Kelly Clarkson, and Carrie Underwood, in it’s endless run of seasons has this show produced good winners?...No
More TV hits, Answer: This weekend, Question: When is the 50th Anniversary of Jeopardy?!. History nugget, Jeopardy started on daytime TV in 1964 before moving to evenings, Alex Trebek has been host now for 30 years.
With April Fools Day coming up, here’s a cool one from CBS. Drew Carey & Craig Ferguson will switch jobs for the day. Craig will host the Price is Right, Drew helming the Late Late Show. Both should be worth a tune in.
Baseball season is starting up, the Blue Jays home opener is next Friday; Wonder if they’ll be serving these: The ‘World’s Largest Hot Dog’ has been created at a county fair in Florida. It’s final weigh-in was 125.5 pounds. Forget the propane you’d need to BBQ a hot dog this size, instead wonder how much it would cost to buy one at an actual Jays game…Don’t worry, it’s cool if you want to use a calculator.
Finally some food for thought. A big deal in the US, and relatively a “who gives a s&*t deal” in Canada, the annual NCAA Mens College Basketball tournament “March Madness” is on. Fact: Vasectomy rates go up huge across the US each year during March Madness. Guys need a day or two to rest their tender bits after the surgery, it’s full days of basketball to watch, hence the increase…Still, there’s just some weird Freudian thing going on there if you ask me. Guys get vasectomy surgery, then go home to watch balls getting slammed all day...just don’t seem right.

These Are The Things I Think About -- March 10th-16th
Happy 2014!! Hey what can I say it’s been a while*. Back to blogging and aiming to get back to my regular posting. Let’s get at it, Here’s what’s happened the past week or so:
Question: A sweaty, messy struggle with bankruptcy at the end. Answer: What was Arthur Chu’s final appearance on "Jeopardy!". Arthur’s run on the show came to an end on Thursday; and it was a controversial run, Arthur won 12 games in a row playing the odds in his question choices to take the other contestants out. Like it or hate it, he did good, taking home almost 300 thousand dollars.
Awesome news Sharknado fans! A release date is confirmed. Sharknado 2: The Second One, will premiere July 31st. Mark that on the calendar and set the PVR to the SyFy channel…Will there be another epic chainsaw scene?!...let's hope so!
Story is Mr. T has a secret son named Alexander Taylor, and, he is suing dear old dad for over 5 million bucks for abandoning him as a child. Mr. T has a son. Wonder if they ever call him Master T?…Also, if he thinks his father is a fool for abandoning him, does he pity him too? Yep, These Are The Things I Think About
Rumour is a sex tape of former “Tonight Show” host Johnny Carson is being shopped around Hollywood. The tape made sometime in the 70s. Not sure who would want to own this movie, though I do hear Jay Leno is lobbying hard to star in a remake.
More between the sheets entertainment news. Channel Zero based out of Toronto is getting in trouble with the CRTC for not airing enough Canadian content, which includes their 3 Adult channels. So expect to see a lot more Rick Mercer & Anne Murray in the porn you watch (there's a mental image you didn't expect to ever have, You're Welcome)…My suggestions for more “Canadian” porn programming is to take from existing staples. Example: 'Hockey Night in Canada', gets pornified in 'Horny Night in Canada', and 'This Hour has 22 Minutes', get the XXX version 'This Porno has 22 Midgets' -Gold!
Some musical heads up for you. Word is Metallica is going to release a new song this weekend. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for that. And. The Headstones are making a new album! Fact: You can never go wrong with more Headstones. Once again they are going to fund it through Pledge Music, get involved HERE
Finally, St. Patrick’s Day is coming up on Monday. Throw something green in the wash this weekend. Rest up your liver. And don’t forget to add Shillelagh polish to your shopping list!
