These Are The Things I Think About -- Apr 6th-13th

Huge Late Night TV news. Ladies & Gentlemen welcome Colbertterman (copyright Gilmore) It’s official Stephen Colbert will replace David Letterman to become host of the Late Show on CBS. Hey NBC, you taking notes?!, see, this is how you make a Late Night TV decision right the first time.

Rock & Roll Hall of fame inductions went Thursday night. Word is Courtney Love joined Dave Grohl & Krist Novoselic on stage when Nirvana was inducted. Didn’t see that one coming; she was sober and everything, wow! Then again you can’t believe everything you hear, it is Courtney Love after all. Either way, I'm betting Dave Grohl, after having to hug her, took a bath in hand sanitizer and burned his clothes when he got home*.

The FXX network has purchased the rights to air reruns of The Simpsons. Not messing around, they will be re-running all of them…in a row. Yep, all 522 Simpsons episodes will be shown back-to-back-to-back at the end of August. Better start working on that butt groove on couch. As for how much FXX paid for the Simpsons rights, I hear it’ was a lot of D’oh… Boo! (sorry I couldn't resist)

Sad news from the Comics world. They are killing off Archie. Archie Comics says he will die saving a friend in the upcoming July issue of “Life with Archie”. Silly comic writers, you can’t kill a Ginger. Our one advantage of having no soul.

Attention fans of naked women, “Playboy” is reprinting its debut 1953 edition. All in celebration of the magazine’s 60th anniversary, the coming collectors edition will be an exact replica of the original; including Marilyn Monroe, and a Sherlock Holmes story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. '50s doctor recommended high tar cigarettes sold separately.

It’s a big weekend ahead on TV. Stock up your liquor cabinet so you can play along, Mad Men returns Sunday for it’s final season. The MTV Movie Awards also go Sunday. Conan O’Brien is the host. Unless Jay Leno somehow sneaks his way in there. Good thing it’s MTV, and not the NBC movie awards...just sayin'

--Oh P.S. *-Yeah, Dave Grohl, post hug with Courtney Love, this is how I picture it:

P.S.S.-- Trying something new out, behold "The Friday/Weekly Rundown" essentially a video version of my blog entries. It's perfect for you too lazy to read. Check it out:
