These Are The Things I Think About -- Apr 14th–Apr 20th

Easter Long weekend is up ahead, you’ve got some excellent plans with friends and family I hope. To send you into the weekend in style, here’s a look at what’s been going on this week:

You, yes you, have a chance to land a starring role in a movie! Well OK, it’s a terrible movie, but still. Producers of ‘Sharkando 2: The Second One’ are trying to crowd fund money online to film an epic bonus scene; This bonus scene described as quote “Chainsaws and Sharks”…classy right?! And, sweetening the pot, they will guarantee you a role in the movie with a $5000 donation. The part I look forward to most. Your acting being better than the actual paid actors in the movie….Tara Ried, I’m looking at you.

Over on TV, the final season of Mad Men started up this past Sunday. The show's creator has come out explaining it will be broken into 2 disinct halves. The first 6 episodes will focus on the characters trying to attain material things. Then a hiatus. When the show returns, the final episodes will show what the characters do once they have the material things they want. Oh and I’m guessing drinking. Tonnes and tonnes of excessive drinking…All season long.

It was a scary week for AC/DC fans, rumours were swirling the band might retire. The stories were Malcolm Young suffered a stroke, and the band was set to spit up rather than continuing without him. Well, an official statement from the band has been released. The group confirmed Malcolm has been sick, adding though he is recouping, and AC/DC is not breaking up. Excellent. So it’s official, Let There Be Rock..for years and years to come.

Exciting news if you're a fan of The Goonies, the movie is getting a sequel. This has been confirmed, and to get you more revved up, the director plans to bring back the original cast. 26 years on, you’ll remember Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman and Sean Astin were part of the original cast. And this has to be extra exciting for Corey Feldman, and his one fan. He could likely use the work….On a more serious note anything else he does has to be better than his singing career*. It’s as bad as the acting in Sharknado.

And some Easter food for thought to leave you with. Apparently 76% of us eat the ears off a Chocolate Easter Bunny first. Pay attention this weekend and see if you do…Happy Easter you deranged, mutilating, psychopath.

-Gilmore

--Oh P.S.  *-I'm a fan of stuff that is so bad its good…this, this on the other end, is so bad it’s terrible:
