These Are The Things I Think About -- Mar 31st-Apr 6th

First things first on behalf of the weather, April Fools!! That has to be the only explanation right?! Ridiculous… 

Of course April Fool's Day was Tuesday, lots of folks thought a prank got pulled on them early though. “How I Met Your Mother” aired it’s series finale Monday night. It got huge ratings, and, a pile of fans upset long the way. If you missed it. The Mother dies. Yep…Some fans are really unhappy with it, and an online petition is out demanding producers re-write and re-shoot the final episode. Yeah, like that’s going to happen, come on. Besides, turns out one fan has already redone the finale*. 

Saturday is the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s death, his body found 20 years ago this coming Tuesday if you are keeping score at home. Well just in time here’s your latest Nirvana news, Courtney Love is in the early stages of turning Kurt Cobain’s life story into a Broadway musical. Ok then. Says she’ll do the project if they can quote ‘get the right people involved’…I’d argue more importantly might be having her NOT involved, not sayin’, I’m just sayin’…Or you know, just don’t do it in the first place. 

The Duff Man is back! It’s an old school re-teaming for Guns N’ Roses. Following a tweet by Duff McKagan --on Tuesday, and people thought it was an April Fool's prank-- it is now confirmed, Duff will join Guns N Roses for it’s upcoming South American tour. He’s subbing in for Tommy Stinson who is on sebatical from GnR to play with the Replacements.

Some legitimate April Fools news. CBS did a cool prank. Drew Carey and Craig Ferguson switched jobs for the day. Craig hosted the Price is Right, Drew helmed the Late Late Show. 

Which brings us to sad news from Late Night TV. On Thursday, David Letterman announced he’s retiring from the Late Show in 2015. Now in his 32nd year behind the desk, Letterman is the longest serving late night talk show host in TV history. Dave you will be missed. And touching back to the Price is Right, a strange but true story. Police and the bomb squad were called to "Come On Down" to Bob Barker’s house last weekend. A suspicious package arrived in the mail. Turns out it was medicine, all is good.
